*A little note about the weight: it is totally up to you. From what I have read the recommended weight is about 10% of the persons body weight, but it is totally a preference thing. Some people like more and others like less. I have a large 10 pound blanket and a large 15 pound blanket, and have found a preference for the 15 pound blanket (it is roughly 10% of my body weight). **All weights are approximate. My scale only goes to the nearest 10th of a pound (and those extra hundredths add up), so most blankets can be within 1-6 tenths of a pound over the intended weight. I will not charge you for any weight above your request.

Benefits
There are so many benefits to using a weighted blanket. I have found that mine just allow me to relax and release built up tension from the day. According to Medical News Today and Bustle the benefits could include:
Calm the Body
Improve Focus
Mimicking a Hug
Releasing Serotonin
Releasing Melotonin
Improving Sleep
Help Relieve Symptoms of: Autism, Sleep Disorders, PTSD, and Nervous System Disorders
Materials I use
I purchase my fabric from Jo-Ann Fabrics. I use a piece of soft and minky fabric and a piece of flannel. I have found the texture differences provide me and others with the most benefit. I have tried 2 pieces of soft and minky, but do not prefer it. If you would prefer other material types please let me know. Stretchy fabric does not work well as the pellets can be pretty heavy causing stretchy material to stretch out.
For the pellets I use Victory Pellets from Amazon. I have tried a few types and these are my favorite. They are smooth and move around easily without catching.

Payment
You can pay with cash, check, Venmo (www.venmo.com/Sara-Lucas-1), or Paypal (paypal.me/lucass12). I do not have the ability to take credit card payments. If you use Venmo or PayPal link a bank account to avoid fees. If you use a credit card there is a fee around 2% of the charge.
I will ask for payment upon completion of your blanket.
Shipping
Shipping is an additional cost. If you are local to the Kenai area, we can arrange to meet up to avoid this cost. I use flat rate boxes from USPS to ship, as it is the cheapest, due to the heaviness of these blankets. A medium flat rate box is currently $14.35 and a large flat rate box is $19.95. I can fit some of the smaller blankets in a medium box (just depends on the weight as the extra pellets take up more space), and all large blankets have to go in a large box. I am open to other shipping methods if you can find a cheaper price. Just contact me and let me know in advance.
